CALFED Science Fellows Program
The CALFED Science Fellows Program was established to bring together junior scientists with CALFED Program agency scientists and senior research mentors in collaborative data analysis and research projects relevant to ecosystem management and water supply reliability questions, including analyses of the immense monitoring data collected and maintained by the implementing agencies. California Sea Grant administers the fellowship program.

Information about the Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship, California Sea Grant State Fellowship, NMFS/Sea Grant Joint Graduate Fellowship in Population Dynamics, and the NMFS/Sea Grant Joint Graduate Fellowship in Marine Resource Dynamics.
Graduate Trainee Program
The California Sea Grant trainee program provides stipends and tuition for graduate students hired by researchers to assist in their CASG-funded research.
John D. Isaacs Marine Undergraduate Research Assistant Program
California Sea Grant investigators may apply for one $2500 Undergraduate Research Assistant Grant each summer.
Camp SEA Lab
California Sea Grant provides financial support to this exciting marine science camp for youth ages 8-13. Each day, the mysteries of the oceans are revealed through hands-on activities above, beside, and below the water's surface. Teacher training programs in marine science are also offered.

Symposium Presentations
In October 2007, Sea Grant Extension Director Paul Olin traveled to Kaohsiung, Taiwan for the International Symposium to Promote Marine Education and presented a paper entitled, “Extension Education and Applied Research to Improve Marine Resource Management,” co-authored by Dr. Maxwell H. Mayeaux. The paper and PowerPoint presentation outlined the method of channeling research results from academia to the maritime industry and are made available as PDFs for downloading.
California Sea Grant Director Russ Moll also traveled to Taiwan for the October symposium. "Marine Education in the Sea Grant Program," coauthored with Shauna Oh, plus the PowerPoint presentation are provided here as PDFs.
