• Publications are free unless a price is noted. When necessary, please prepay with cash, check or money order payable to University of California Regents.

• Order by first author's last name and the first several words of the publication title. Include the Sea Grant Series publication number if known. Send orders and inquiries to the Communications Department.

• Tax is included in the cost of the book, and postage is included when mailing to any address with a U.S. zip code. There is an additional charge for airmail postage for International shipments. Please contact the Communications Department to request international airmail rates.

• Publication fees help to offset printing and distribution costs. The program does not profit from the sale of its publications.

• Publications produced by the nationwide Sea Grant network are housed at the National Sea Grant Library (NSGL). Many publications are in PDF or may be borrowed from the library.

• A complete collection of Sea Grant-funded work is searchable from the NSGL Web site.

• Publications not available from California Sea Grant (except theses and dissertations) may be borrowed for one month from the NSGL. There is a limit of ten publications per request. Please indicate your intent to borrow the publication(s) so that your request is not returned. If possible, send your request on an interlibrary loan form or institutional letterhead.

• Copies of dissertations and theses are available from the library of the university mentioned in the citation, or from:
