Scientific Blue-Water DivingThe goal of Scientific Blue-Water Diving is to open the world of blue-water diving to a larger scientific community, without compromising the safety of the procedure. It is meant to provide guidelines for conducting blue-water dives, to assist in the construction of a blue-water rig, and to present lessons learned from past experiences. The 50-page book is printed on water-resistant paper with spiral binding that allows the open book to lie flat while in use. Contributors to this book include Larry Madin, Tom Frazer, Langdon Quetin and Lynn McMasters. This work is the result of research supported in part by the Moss Landing Marine Laboratories, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, NOAA and the National Sea Grant College Program. This book is a revision of Blue Water Diving Guidelines, originally published by California Sea Grant in 1986. |
